The Lenfest Institute operates at all times recognizing the independence of editors and reporters of any journalism enterprise. Editorial function and news coverage of any funded project shall at all times remain independent of the donor and of The Lenfest Institute, and no attempt shall be made to influence or interfere with the editorial policies or decisions of any funded project. Philadelphia Inquirer editors and reporters operate independently of our donors and maintain editorial control over all of the content they produce.

Gifts by check should be made out to The Lenfest Institute and mailed to 100 South Independence Mall West, Suite 600, Philadelphia, PA 19106. Include “Inquirer” in the memo.

Your gift is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Please note that all gifts contributed through this fund are given to The Lenfest Institute for Journalism and directed to The Philadelphia Inquirer’s important high-impact journalism.

For tax purposes, please note that The Lenfest Institute for Journalism (the “Institute”) is a single-member limited liability company whose sole member is The Lenfest Institute for Journalism Special Asset Fund of The Philadelphia Foundation (the “LIJ SAF”). Neither the Institute nor the LIJ SAF has provided any tangible benefits, goods or services in return for this gift.
